Q: Can I custom order a shed exactly how I want it, or do you only sell the sheds that are at your retail lots?
A: Both. Feel free to buy a shed directly off of one of our lots, or custom order one for no additional charge if you can’t find something that works for you.
Q: How do I order a shed?
A: Either visit one of our retail locations, or contact our main office via phone or this website and we can walk you through the ordering process and complete the order today!
Q: Do you accept credit cards?
A: Yes. Pay with a credit card over the phone.
Q: Are your sheds more expensive than a self storage facility?
A: In many cases, no. And, you will own the building after 24 months.
Q: Do you sell just sheds or can we order larger barns?
A: We offer sheds as small as 6’ x 6’ and as large as 14’ x 40’.
Q: We want a shed that will match the style of our home. Can we customize the shed to do this?
A: Yes. You can build your shed to look however you like – add vinyl siding, add a covered porch, add shutters, and so on. We offer numerous colors for each of our options in order for you to create a shed that looks just like your home.
Q: What areas do you serve?
A: We serve south central Pennsylvania and Maryland.
Q: How long will it take to receive a shed?
A: If you purchase one of the buildings from our retail location, we can generally deliver it to you within 5-7 business days. If you special order a shed, we can typically have it delivered to you within 4-6 weeks.
Q: Where do I find pricing on your buildings?
A: We have pricing on this website. See the Our Products/Pricing tab.
Q: Where do I find information and pricing about the Rent-to-Own program?
A: We have information about the program on this website on the Rent-to-Own tab. Monthly rent amounts can be found on the Our Products/Pricing tab. For more detailed information, contact our office.
Q: Are there really no credit checks with the rent-to-own program?
A: Correct. All we need are two family references, and you can take a shed home today for as little as $75/month.
Q: How much is delivery and how does the building get to our home?
A: Delivery is FREE! We will deliver the shed directly to your home with one of our trucks (Ford F-250) and a shed trailer (20’ long). If your home is more than 15 miles from one of our retail locations, there is an additional delivery charge.
Q: Do we have to assemble the shed ourselves?
A: No. Your shed arrives fully constructed and ready to use.
Q: How must the site be prepared for delivery?
A: The shed must rest on a concrete pad, gravel pad or on concrete pavers (blocks). It is not recommended that the shed rest directly on grass. High Point Buildings does not install concrete or gravel pads, but can recommend contractors who can build a pad for you. The delivery driver can set the shed on concrete pavers and level it, but there is a small charge to do so.
Q: How can I tell if there is enough room to deliver a shed?
A: We generally need 2’ more than the width of the shed you are purchasing. Height may also be an issue, but as long as the driver has 12’ – 14’ of overhead clearance available, there should not be a problem. You may need to remove a portion of your fence in order to provide access.
Q: What if there is no room to bring a shed into our backyard?
A: No problem. We can build the shed on-site in your backyard. There is an additional charge for this service.
Q: Do we need a permit? Will you process permits for us?
A: You may need a permit, so you may want to check with your local jurisdiction. You may also have community covenants that will need to be adhered to. The buyer is responsible for processing all permits. We simply deliver the shed and don’t ask for or require proof of permits.
Q: If I move, can I take my shed with me?
A: Yes. Unlike most buildings that you would buy from the local hardware store that are permanent structures, you can easily transport your shed to a new location.
Q: I have an old shed in my yard now. Can you remove it?
A: Sure. For a fee, we can remove any size shed from your yard.
Q: Is there a warranty on your buildings?
A: Absolutely. There is a two year warranty on any defects related to materials or workmanship. Many of our material suppliers also offer manufacturer’s warranties.
